Lexus Europe Monaco Royal Wedding Car
The wedding of Prince Albert ll of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock in July 2011 was certainly one of the most watched events around the globe that year
The vehicle chosen by the royal couple for that very special day was the high-tech and environmentally friendly Lexus LS600h. Featuring the Lexus Hybrid Drive system, the LS600h is the best-performing car with respect to CO2 emissions in the premium limousine segment
The car was modified by Carat Duchatelet, a well-known coach builder based in Belgium, which counts among its customers more than 50 heads of state and royal families around the world
The conversion work, which took four months, was carried out with the most advanced technologies and superior automotive craftsmanship
One of the most distinctive features of the car was its single-piece transparent roof, manufactured using aerospace techniques
As an official partner of the royal wedding and an official supplier to HSH the Prince of Monaco, Lexus entrusted Eleven3 with the production of all communications materials involving this unique car
This included the production of a TV feature describing the “making of” of the wedding car, which was distributed around the world (resulting in 567 broadcasts for an estimated media value of 3.7 million euros), as well as web teasers for the sites of Lexus and the palace of the royal family, studio and on-site video and photo shoots, graphic materials, and more
The program was conducted with all the savoir-faire that a project of this nature requires and in close consultation with both the client and the palace of the royal family
